Hi! First up, I hope you're safe and well.
A quick update!
I suspect the last of the just-the-book orders will be shipping out tomorrow (here in Florida, I only go to the post office once a week - at an off-peak time - I'm trying to play it very safe).
MacGuffin books are in!
The last of the stretch goal items - Archmage Angus MacGuffin's Unknown Artifacts and Awful Obscurities - arrived and they look great! I wasn't originally intending to print these in color but I found a good deal and it was worth the extra expense. The printing and paper quality is beautiful! I'm so happy with how they turned out. Here's a quick iPhone photo:
Waddlebottom short story progress!
This Waddlebottom short story is a bonus reward from my previous Kickstarter and it's taken me months and months and months to make headway. After countless false starts: overly complicated opening scenes, unnecessary plot lines and characters, and a complete redesign of Archmage MacGufin, I finally have a version I'm happy with. I wanted it to be more simply drawn but it kind of got away from me. If you supported the first Kickstarter, a printed copy of this story will be included with your shipment. Here's an unlettered sample from the story...
Look for more frequent updates as I pack more things up. Perhaps with video if I can manage to record anything usable and if my quarantine-hair isn't completely out of control. :)
Thank you again for your kindness and patience. All of this has taken so much longer than I'd expected but I'm thrilled with how everything has come together. I can't wait to get your books to you!

Hi! I hope you and yours are safe and well!
Good news! The books have arrived! (The first batch anyway - with more arriving soon.) I've cracked open a few boxes and they look great! I'm so happy!
I'm still waiting on some of the loot from the manufacturers - they've all been understandably delayed. I hope to soon have the pins (which are coming from China) and the MacGuffins book will follow (I had to find a new, affordable printer still in operation during this crazy time).
Everyone who ordered just the book will get an e-mail from Backerkit asking you to confirm your address. I'll then be locking those addresses and books will be going out the door! I've been taking every precaution during the crisis and will continue doing so as I pack up and ship your loot!
If you're getting the stretch goals and other goodies, I'll be asking you to confirm your addresses when the final bonus items arrive. Hopefully before the end of the month!
Keep an eye out for a download link of the MacGuffins book later this week. :) Every backer at every level will get the PDF!

The new proofs arrived!

I'm so glad I ordered new proofs because the inside pages look much, much better! The colors are considerably more vibrant!
I took some photos with my iPhone...

I'm really glad I sent in new files! I'm moving forward with placing the orders. I imagine the coronavirus may affect production and shipping times but I'll keep everyone posted.
I'll have another update when the books arrive and the other loot is ready to go as well.
I really hope everyone is safe and healthy out there and at home reading lots of comics.

Hi!
The Middle Age: Better Than Nothing printers proof arrived today and I’m mostly thrilled with how it turned out. I tried posting this update over the weekend, but my iPad kept rotating the photos 90-degrees so I waited until I was back at my desk to save everyone the neck strain. :)
BTW, the cover colors are so vibrant! The photos don't do it justice!
I also love how the two volumes look alongside each other. :)
The interior colors seemed a bit lighter than they should (they almost looked mature and fancy - not my style at all :) ) so I've resubmitted the files and I'll get another proof in the next seven days. It's important to me that the colors are as rich as they are in Volume One. It's a bit of a delay, but I really want everyone to be happy with the books! I'll keep you posted.
