Wow!!! Thank you all so much for your amazing support! I was stunned by the launch and have been reeling since. We even surpassed the previous campaign!

What happens next?

Kickstarter will be processing the pledges and I'll be reaching out to everyone in the coming weeks with surveys so I know where to send your loot! I'll also be launching a BackerKit page to help me organize everyone's orders and allow anyone who missed the campaign to place orders for books!

Please let me know if I can answer any questions and again, thank you! <3

Six hours to go! MacGuffin book unlocked!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Nov 13, 2019 at 08:15:42 PM

We're in the home stretch!

Just a few hours ago, we unlocked the MacGuffin book stretch goal which means that the prints will be upgraded to a 12-page book containing a selection of Archmage MacGuffin's Unknown Artifacts and Awful Obscurities.  I'm so excited for this! :)

We're currently a bit short of the "Quimp meets Phosphene" bonus stretch goal but a lot can happen in six hours! In the previous campaign, we had people signing up until the very last minute. Fingers crossed!

Here's the shortened link if you'd like to share it: http://kck.st/35vRjo4

Thanks again for your amazing kindness and support!

ONE WEEK LEFT! New Stretch Goal Added! The drawing which became The Middle Age!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Nov 08, 2019 at 05:03:03 PM

As promised, a new stretch goal has been added! A print of the very first drawing which became The Middle Age.

(Not the final design for the print)

Back in 2015, I was planning out my next project - a fantasy story about a middle-aged knight. I sketched plenty of drawings of the knight who would become our hero along with the assorted characters and creatures he might face. Among the orcs, gnomes, and baby dragons, was the image above. I drew a knight facing off against a mighty dragon and, as an afterthought, I drew that word balloon with the heart in it.

And that tiny heart grew into this story.

Thanks to everyone who responded and reached out with suggestions for stretch goals. So many good ideas and I'll try to find a way to use all of them - though the playing cards might be hard to do! :) Extra thanks to Patreon supporter Matthew for suggesting this particular idea.

I've made this stretch goal $22,000 or 500 backers. We seem to be on track for both and either one will do. I just really want to include this reward. :)

Thank you all again!

Thank you so much! What should the next stretch goal be?
over 4 years ago – Wed, Nov 06, 2019 at 07:10:01 AM

Thank you for your amazing support! Nearly 300 supporters have signed up and three stretch goals have been unlocked and there are still 19 days left in the campaign!

A new stretch goal?

As a number of supporters have suggested, the incredible start for this campaign means we're on track to exceed the final stretch goal and I should think about adding another stretch goal! What should it be? I'm open to suggestions! You can send me a message or comment below.

Baltimore Comic-Con Report

I had a fantastic time at the Baltimore Comic-Con over the weekend. The highlights:

  • The Middle Age was everywhere: the program book cover, the official t-shirt, and even the entrance graphics!
  • I didn't win the Ringo Award for 'Best Colorist' (still an honor to be nominated)!
  • I saw many of my kind Kickstarter and Patreon supporters!
  • The Webcomics panel was great! (I'll be sure to share a link to audio when it's available).

Check out the full, photo-filled report here.

Speaking of Patreon...

I've added a bonus reward for everyone who is both a Kickstarter AND a Patreon supporter. Every Kickstarter supporter at the $25 level and above who is also a Patreon supporter (at any level), will get a solid metal, lapel pin featuring our hero's logo added to the package. (I can afford to do this since I'm already mailing you something and the pins don't weigh all that much).

You can sign up to become a Patreon supporter and get the pin added to your loot here: https://www.patreon.com/steveconley

Thanks again and please let me know your ideas for another stretch goal! :)

Your support means the world to me and I just can't thank you enough!

Just 24 hours and we're approaching our second stretch goal! Plus a closeup look at the new pin set!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Oct 16, 2019 at 10:25:44 AM

I'm overwhelmed by the response! Thank you all so much for your amazing support and for helping to spread the word!

Backer snon asked about the new pins, the "Maledicta Quotes" Enamel Pin Set! These are a set of three enamel pins with quotes from everyone's favorite cursed sword, Maledicta the Blade of Woe...

Please note that these designs are close but not final as there's always back-and-forth with the manufacturer.

Thank you all again! I'm stunned! :D
